R 1501 Resin Akshobhya Buddha
The Statue is beautifully carved in Resin . Akshobhya Buddha is regarded as the second Dhyani Buddha by the Nepalese Buddhists.He is blue in color .He is always shown in Bhumisparsh Mudra ( earth touching ) which means calling the earth for witness, and sits in the Vajraparayanka pose.H e represents the primoordal cosmic elements of Vijnana ( consciousness).When represented in the stupa,he always faces the east.His left hand rests on the lap, while the right rest on the right knee with the tip of the middle fingers touching the ground with palm drawn inwardly.His vehicle is a pair of elephants and recognistion symbol is the Vajra or the thunderbolt.
