Wooden Frame Shamanic Drum with Goat Skin and nicely carved wooden handle used in the remote village of Nepal.  Nepal is home to over sixty different ethnic groups.  Most of these groups practice some form of Shamanism.  Nepalese shamans belong to different religious groups of Nepal, such as rai, gurung and Thakali.  This authentic old drum was used in ceremonies but it is hard to tell its age.  It was hand selected by HTT's owners outside of Kathmandu.

The Newari Jhankries Shamans say that  " the way of the shaman is the way of love".   They seek to bring love and peace to those who suffer from diseases of a spritual nature.
